Frans punnikklosje

Eigenlijk mag ik van mezelf alleen maar punnikklosjes bij de kringloop kopen, maar toen ik dit oude punnikpopje op een antiekmarktje in Grignan, Frankrijk, tegenkwam, was ik verkocht.

I have restricted myself to only buying spool knitters in a thriftstore, but when I saw this one on an antique market in Grignan, France, I had to buy it.

Wat hebben oude doosjes van punnikklosjes toch vaak leuke afbeeldingen. Deze afbeelding vond ik op het internet, maar zelf heb ik ook twee leuke oude doosjes.

Old boxes of spool knitters do have beautiful pictures. I found this one on the internet, but I myself also have two very nice boxes.

 Ik heb het er al vaker over gehad. Deze verzameling bestaat bij de gratie van de kringloop. Zou ik dat niet doen, dan had ik er nu al teveel. Ik vind het heerlijk wat rond te neuzen bij de kringloop en daar komen dan ook bijna al deze klosjes vandaan. De gemiddelde prijs is 50 eurocent. Veel plezier voor weinig geld zullen we maar zeggen.

I talked to you before about my collection of spool knitters. This collection is there because of the thrift shop. I only want to buy there, because otherwise the collection would become enormous. I love to go to a thrift shop and I almost found all spool knitters there. I bought most of them for less than a dollar. Let's call it much fun for a very small amount of money.

Ik heb een kleine verzameling punnikklosjes. De meeste zijn gekocht in een kringloopwinkel. Vandaag was ik even in de kringloopwinkel, waar ik nog een paar strengetjes DMC garen vond en zag de voorste twee klosjes op de toonbank staan. Echte oudjes, zo leuk en bij elkaar 1 euro.

I have a small collection of spool knitters or knitting Nancy's. Most of them I bought in a thrift shop. Yesterday I visited a thrift shop. Apart from a few strands of DMC I saw these two spool knitters that you see in the front on this picture on the counter. Real old ones, very nice and for less than a dollar.

 Al eerder liet ik een aantal gepunnikte sjaals zien en het blijft me fascineren. Wat zijn dit ook weer leuke voorbeelden.

weer een klosje

Ik heb gisteren wat groene hexagon sterren gemaakt, maar het schoot niet op. 

Ik zit in een risicogroep en het nieuws over het Corona virus maakt me soms onrustig.

Daarom maar dit hartelijke gezichtje. Een nieuwe aanwinst in mijn verzameling punnikklosjes.

I made some green hexagon stars yesterday, but I didn't make much progress.

I am in a high risk group and the news about Covid-19 sometimes makes me restless.

That's why I am glad to show you this warm face. A new addition to my collection of spool knitters.

Deze drie poppetjes en de rode ring zijn nieuw in mijn verzameling punnikklosjes. Ze missen hier en daar door het gebruik en door de ouderdom wat verf.

These three knitting nancy's and the red ring are new in my collection spoolknitters. They lack some paint due to use and age.

Deze klosjes hebben me allemaal 50 eurocent het stuk gekost. Om de verzameling beperkt te houden mag ik ze niet via internet kopen. Dat scheelt veel verzendkosten, want een klosje kan niet door de brievenbus. Dit zijn bijna allemaal kringloop aanwinsten.
Ik heb ze even op de trap gezet, zodat ze beter zichtbaar zijn. Ook een beetje voor mezelf, want ik zie dat ik inmiddels twee dubbele popjes heb.
Ik moet iets zien te krijgen waarop ik ze trapsgewijs neer kan zetten.

I bought these spool knitters for 50 eurocent a piece. To keep the collection small I have restricted myself. I am not allowd to buy them on the internet. That means less postage. I bought them almost all in second hand stores.
I put them on my stairs so you can see them better. I have also done this so I know what I have already. I already see some doubles.
Now I have to find something to display them.

Zoekend naar antieke punnikklosjes op Pinterest kom ik me toch leuke gepunnikte sjaals tegen. Ik hou me nog in, maar het is met moeite !

Searching for antique knitting spools on Pinterest I come across very nice scarfs. I am holding back, but it is difficult.

Ik verbaas me erover hoeveel punnikklosjes ik bij de kringloop weet te vinden. Leuk voor bij mijn mini verzameling.

It is amazing how often I find a spoolknitter at a second hand shop. A nice addition to a very small collection.

hersenmuts

Al surfend op het net naar punnikklosjes kwam ik deze hersenmuts tegen. Overigens al weer een paar jaar oud. Is hij niet geweldig ?!

Surfing the internet brought me to this brain hat. The picture was taken some years ago.
Isn't it marvelous ?!

2 nieuwe klosjes

Weer twee punnikklosjes bij de kringloop gevonden. Beide zien er echt als nieuw uit. Leuk !

Again I found some spool knitters at the second hand store. These ones look like new. Love them !

verzamelen

Langzaam aan groeit de verzameling punnikklosjes. Allemaal zijn ze afkomstig van de kringloop. 

Mijn verzameling horen, zien en zwijgen aapjes, die ik al sinds mijn 15de levensjaar startte ben ik aan het uitdunnen. Veel komt op Marktplaats, sommigen zijn al weg.

De echt mooie stukken blijven, zoals dit beeld van Lladro porselein.

My collection spool knitters is slowly increasing. I found them all in second hand stores.
My collection hear, see and speak, I started collection them at the age of 15, is decreasing. 
I am not selling the beautiful pieces. This one, from Lladro porcelain, is definitely staying !

Mijn kleine verzameling punnikklosjes is dankzij de kringloop weer uitgebreid. Binnenkort moet ik er nog een apart plankje voor inrichten.

Even een update van mijn mini verzameling punnikklosjes. Ik heb mezelf de restrictie gegeven dat ik ze alleen mag krijgen of van de kringloop vandaan mag halen. Ik zie ze wel op bv. Marktplaats, maar versturen is duur, omdat ze niet door de brievenbus kunnen. Het moet leuk blijven !
Sinds de vorige keer zijn er zowaar twee bijgekomen. Het zijn degene aan de linkerkant. Ach wie doet me wat voor 50 eurocent het stuk.

An update about my mini collection spool knitters. I have given myself a restriction. I am only allowed to buy them in a secondhand store or get them as a present. I see them for sale on the internet, but sending them by snail mail costs a small fortune.
I could add two new ones, the ones on the left. Only 50 eurocents a piece.

punniken

Op het blog Annelein Design kwam ik een punnikklosje tegen en dat deed me ineens denken aan een paar punnikklosjes bij mij in huis. Ooit gevonden bij de kringloop voor heel weinig. 
Even voor de duidelijkheid, ze zijn ter decoratie, ik verzamel ze niet actief.

I saw a picture of a spool knitter on the blog Annelein Design. It made me think of the small collection of spool knitters I have. Bought for a very small price at a second hand store.
Just to be clear, I am not an active collector of them.
