Torrington blok 12

En ook blok 12 is klaar. Het was puzzelen, want hoe komen de blokken ? Ik gokte op de punt en gisteren in de namiddag kwam ik een foto tegen op Facebook-pagina van Quiltmania van de totale quilt. Hij hangt in hun stand in Houston.

In de volgende Quiltmania dus nog één blok. Ook driehoeken, sashings en de rand. Dat wordt nog moeilijk kiezen.

Yesterday I finished block 12. I wasn't sure what to do with the inner part of the block. Would the blocks be placed on point ? Yesterday afternoon I saw a picture of the total quilt on the Facebook page of Quiltmania. The quilt is hanging in the stand of Quiltmania in Houston.

Next time one block, all sashings, triangles and the border. Hard to chose the right fabrics.

Mooi gedaan deze sampler in rood en wit. Letters, monogrammen en randjes er zit van alles in.

Beautiful this work in red and white. Characters, monograms and bands. There is a lot to look at.

En ook blok 11 is een feit. Verder met het derde blok van deel 5.

blok 11 wat verder

Alle blauwe stukjes zijn net iets anders en dat maakte dat ik er gisteren op de bee met mijn hoofd bij moest blijven. Ik hoorde mezelf pruttelen. Thuisgekomen had ik de slag zo te pakken, maar de bee had ik natuurlijk niet willen missen !

All blue pieces are slightly different. I had to keep my head and not get distracted. I heard myself complaining a bit. At home it went better, but I just didn't want to miss the bee.

Torrington Place blok 11

Even had ik iets anders te doen wat ik later kan laten zien. Nu weer verder met het elfde blok van Torrington Place.
Zelf vind ik drie blokken per twee maanden, zeker als je nog andere dingen doet, best veel.

I had to do something in between. I will show you later.
Now on with block 11 of Torrington Place.
I do find three blocks in two months a lot. This is not the only project I am working on. In my case it takes to much time.

nieuwe bril

En dan laat je op vakantie je bril vallen. In eerste instantie zet je hem weer op en denk nog dat er niets aan de hand is. Bij het schoonmaken, want wat zit daar toch op die glazen, merk je dat beide glazen beschadigd zijn.
Tijd voor een nieuwe look. Het is nog wel wennen hoor !

During my vacation I dropped my glasses. At first I thought everything was allright. After cleaning I new better. Both glasses were damaged. 
Time for a new look. I have to get used to them.

mooi schoollapje

Wat blijf ik toch genieten van ieder lapje in mijn verzameling. 
Wat zijn er op dit lapje weer mooie randjes te zien.
Het werd gemaakt door J.B. in 1899.
