Maiden of New Life af

Erg leuk om te maken deze Maiden of new Life van The Little Stitcher. Eens kijken wat ik nu ga doen. Ik moet van alles afmaken, maar heb zo'n zin in iets nieuws.

It was nice to make this Maiden of New Life of The Little Stitcher. What next ? I have so many thing to finish, but I love to start a new project.

Adriana

Op internet vind ik wel een Adriana Nijsse, maar zij kan het qua leeftijd niet geweest zijn. Ik kan dus niets bijzonders zeggen van dit lapje, maar de afbeelding van een soort hondenkar vind ik wel heel bijzonder.

I found a Adriana Nijsse on the internet, but she was to old. She couldn't have made this sampler. 
I can't tell you anything special about this one, but look at that car with a dog in front of it.

Op het moment kom ik nauwelijks aan handwerken toe. Mijn moeder heeft op het moment meer aandacht nodig. De tijd die ik dan ook heb om af en toe een steekje te zetten koester ik.

I hardly have time to do something for my own. My mother needs more attention at the moment. I cherish the time that I have to make some stitches.

De laatste twee foto's van deze pronkrol, die net iets meer dan 1 meter lang is. Door het gebruik van wit, geel en oranje een hele aparte lap !

The last two pictures of this techniques sampler of almost 38 inches. By using the colors white, yellow and orange it looks so special !

Het is maar een hele korte pronkrol, dus morgen alweer de laatste twee foto's.
Op deze foto prachtig werk met kraaltjes en mooi verstelwerk.

On this picture a lot of little beads and nicely done mending.

Naast de pronkrol die ik al liet zien, kon ik twee korte gele rollen kopen.
Ze zijn vermoedelijk gemaakt in Blankenberge in België. De rollen zijn beide maar een meter lang.
Deze rol uit 1927-1928 werd in het 2de leerjaar gemaakt.
Ook hier is weer een kousje te zien.

Apart from the techniques sampler I showed you lately, I could buy two short yellow ones.
They are probably made in Blankenberge in Belgium. Both samplers are one meter in width.
This sampler was made during the second year in 1927-1928.
Again you see a stocking.

Het is altijd leuk een schoollapje tegen te komen dat niet in het gebruikelijk rood is geborduurd.
E. Naudts uit Epse maakte dit lapje in 1947. Ze zat op de openbare lagere school.
