Randje 105 staat op het lapje dat ik vorige week liet zien. Randje 106, het laatste randje, zie je op alle lapjes die ik hier laat zien.

Bovenstaande sampler uit 1908 heeft zelfs mijn naam.

Dit schoollapje werd gemaakt door N.v.d. Hooft uit Zwanenburg. Toen ze het lapje maakte was ze 9 jaar oud en zat in de derde klas. De Julianaschool in Zwanenburg is er nog steeds, maar ik heb op het internet niets van de maakster van dit lapje kunnen vinden.
This sampler was made by N.v.d. Hooft living in Zwanenburg in The Netherlands. She made the sampler at the age of nine. The Julianaschool in Zwanenburg still exists, but I couln't find more information about the girl.
Blok 25 is een eigen ontwerp. Dit moet er voor mijn kerstgevoel gewoon bij.
Block 25 is my own design. This is why we celebrate Christmas.
Quiltmania had bij dit blokje de tekst: "All come home for Xmas". Dat heb ik zo goed en zo kwaad als ik kan vertaald.
De vier hartjes staan voor ons gezin, bij sommigen beter bekend als "Annelies en haar mannen". Het is heel goed dat de mannen in deze quilt komen. Ze zijn me heel erg dierbaar. (zacht uitgedrukt)
In de quilt is plaats voor 25 vierkantjes. Ik ben zelf bezig met een ontwerpje voor blok 25.
Quiltmania used the English words on this block: "All come home for Xmas". I translated that in French.
The four hearts stand for me, my husband and our two sons, aka "Annelies and her men". I love having them in this quilts. They are very dear to me. (to put it mildly)
The quilt has room for 25 blocks. I am designing number 25 myself.
Als voorbeeldblok had Quiltmania bij dit thema cupcakes of een chocoladetaart. Als je in Frankrijk bent tijdens de feestdagen is er echter niets zo lekker dan bûche de Noël. Mijn blok ziet er daarom iets anders uit.
Quiltmania made some examples for block 23 with the theme chocolat. They made blocks with cupcakes and chocolat cake. When we are in France during the holidays we love to eat log cabin cake so I had to adjust this block.
