Tine van Popta

De juf op de school van Tine van Popta vond het volgens mij raadzaam de letters meerdere malen te herhalen.
Ze begin met de rechte letters, daarna de schuine en als laatste de ronde. Echt een klassiek schoollapje.

opmerkelijk

Afgelopen week was ik in de gelegenheid een aantal merklappen in één keer te kopen. Onder de merklappen bovenstaande lap. Ik wist meteen dat ik iets had dat daarop leek. 
Onderstaande lap heb ik al enige tijd in mijn verzameling. 
Beide lappen zijn afkomstig uit Nisse. Er zit 5 jaar verschil tussen.
Er moet haast van eenzelfde voorbeeldboekje gebruik zijn gemaakt. 
Je zou kunnen concluderen dat je door deze twee lapjes de opkomst van het rode schoollapje ziet, maar er zijn zoveel andere mogelijkheden.

Last week I was able to buy several samplers at the same time. One of them is the first sampler shown here. I immediately knew I had a sampler that looked like the one above. 
The one below is in my collection for some time now. 
Both samplers come from Nisse, a place in The Netherlands. The one on top is 5 years older than the one below.
They most have used the same example. 
Can one conclude that you see the upcoming of the red school sampler when looking at these two.
Alas, there are so many other explanations possible.

Zegerina en Willemijntje

 Zegerina Maria Winkel werd in 1900 geboren in Boskoop. Ze trouwde in 1920 met Bartholomeus van der Ree. In 1928 wordt Willemijntje geboren.
Zegerina is in 1990 overleden en haar dochter Willemijntje in 2006.
Ik heb vier lapjes van deze dames in mijn bezit. Het bovenste lapje van Zegerina is gemaakt in 1909.

Zegerina Maria Winkel was born in 1900 in Boskoop a place in The Netherlands.She married Bartholomeus van der Ree in 1920. In 1928 Willemijntje was born.
Zegerina died in 1990 and her daughter in 2006.
I have four samplers of them in my collection. The one above was made by Zegerina in 1909.

 Het tweede lapje is ook gemaakt door Zegerina. Onder haar naam staat Gouda 1909.

The second sampler was also made by Zegerina. Beneath her name is written Gouda (place) and 1909.

 In 1938 maakte Willemijntje dit lapje. Er komen randjes in voor die ook door haar moeder werden gemaakt. Onderaan 17 5 38, ofwel 17 mei 1938.

In 1938 Willemijntje made this sampler. You find bands in this sampler that were also made by her mother. Below 17 5 38, which refers to May 17, 1938.

Dit lapje is waarschijnlijk ook door Willemijntje gemaakt. Het is na een wasbeurt erg doorgelopen.

This sampler might also be made by Willemijntje. It started bleeding when it was washed.

Ninth Day

Nu ik bij ben wil ik ook zo snel mogelijk het nieuwe patroontje verwerken. Het is zo leuk dit voor Kerst te zien groeien.

Share Jane huisje

Van het Share Jane project had ik wat kleine restjes over. Het lukte me echt net om er een huisje voor mijn huisjesquilt mee te maken. Toch weer een leuke herinnering !

I had some small left-overs from the Share Jane project. It was difficult, but I was able to make a small house of them for my houses quilt. Now the Share Jane is also a memory in this quilt.

Eighth day

Wat beleef ik een plezier aan The Twelve Days of Christmas van Plum Street Samplers. Dit keer "eight maids-a-milking". 
Ik ben helemaal bij, dus nu weer wachten tot zondag twaalf uur op het volgende patroontje.

I have so much fun making The Twelve days of Christmas of Plum Street Samplers. This week "eight maids-a-milking".
I have to wait till Sunday at noon when the next part will be released.
