Weer vier heel verschillende huisjes erbij. 
Let op het huisje linksboven. Dat is gemaakt van een klein stukje originele feedsack uit 1930-1940, dat ik ooit in het winkeltje van Josephine kocht. Als je goed kijkt zie je op sommige plaatsen de gaatjes waar het originele stiksel zat.
Er zitten nog een paar originele feedsacks in deze quilts.

Again four different houses.
Mind the one in the left upper corner. It was made using a piece of original feedsack dat I once bought in the shop of Josephine. When you have a careful look you see where the original stitching took place.
There are a few more original feedsacks in this quilt.

Marcje of Margje

Marcje, of was het Margje, Smit maakte deze lap in 1870. Ze was toen 11 jaar. Haar ouders staan ook op de lap. CS en JB zijn hun initialen. De lap is best wel gehavend, maar toch wel weer bijzonder. Hij is tenslotte 145 jaar oud.

Marcje, or was her name Margje, Smit made this sampler when she was 11 years of age. She also mentioned her parents on this sampler, CS and JB.
The sampler is worn, but special. It was made 145 years ago.

Naarmate de lap groter wordt duurt het steeds iets langer voor er weer een strook huisjes aan kan. Dat is nu eenmaal zo. Vandaag gaat de lap van 12 x 12 huisjes naar 13 x 12 huisjes.
Nog steeds, en dat blijft ook zo, zijn alle huisjes anders.

The quilt top is growing and every time it takes a bit longer to add a row. No way to change that. Today the top goes from 12 x 12 houses to 13 x 12 houses.
All houses are different.

leporello

 Van de week kocht ik een oud uitklapboekje met patronen, een leporello. Het boekje valt half uit elkaar, maar ik word alleen al blij van de voorkant.

This week I bought this fanfolded paper with patterns. It is worn, but when I saw the cover it already gave me a happy feeling.

Weer vier huisjes erbij. In het echt contrasteert het huisje linksonder wat minder. 

Again four houses. In real the house on the bottom left is less bright.

weer mannetjes

Een speciaal lapje. Waarom ? In het midden zit één van mijn favoriete randjes: de mannetjes. Verder is dit lapje, gemaakt door H.R. uit mijn geboortejaar. Toch bijzonder als je dat door je handen laat gaan.

A special sampler. Why ? Halfway you see one of my favorite bands, the little men. Another thing is that it was made in the year in which I was born. A precious moment when you hold it in your hands.
