What is a pronkrol? Google translate did not even have a guess? With the stitching around the piece, it doesn't look like a long roll. It is very pretty.
I loved the sampler yesterday from 1871. It is in amazing shape for being nearly 150 years old!

@Susan it is a techniques sampler or long sampler. In former days girls learn different sorts of techniques and at school al those small samplers were put together.
